Combating oily skin

This post goes out to all my oily skin followers! These products I’m about to show you are my life savers when it comes to a slick face. If your skin is anything like mine you’re going to want to give these products a go!

Oily skin friends you HAVE to try this mascara. I know the struggle of raccoon eyes halfway through the day due to those oily eyelids! With this mascara that problem is gone, no mess, no flakes, just beautiful lashes.

These E.L.F. Blotting Papers are great for touching up throughout the day. If your not familiar with blotting papers, all you do is dab them on your oily areas and they absorb all your unwanted dew. I specifically enjoy this product’s packaging because it comes with a mirror, which always comes in handy when your touching up!

Powders are a must have! Anytime I put liquid on my face (concealer, foundation) I have to set it and keep everything at bay. If I don’t my oils break the liquids apart leaving me with a bare face. My two favourites are It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Silk Pressed Anti-Aging Powder which is honestly the perfect setting powder. My other more affordable favourite is Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder which is also a very good.

I was having a hard time finding a good moisturizer that would hydrate but not make me feel like a grease ball. This is my favourite product found by a long shot. It gives that much need moisture without increasing my oils. Don’t think that because your face looks wet that is has enough moisture, stick to a daily moisture regiment. In the long run this will help to reduce oil production and aid in skin cell turnover meaning clearer skin.

I noticed a huge difference with the amount of oils my face produced when I use this Seaweed Clarifying Toner, it is significantly less. After the first use I was amazed at how dry my face became, almost as if my skin type had completely reversed.

I would love to hear any of your recommendations! Comment down bellow if you have any life saving products I need to try!

  1. My sister has super oily skin and she uses the Rimmel London matte primer, I haven’t tried it yet because i’m in the middle of finishing up Benefit’s Porefessional. Also, the Urban Decay slick works wonders for my oily skin!

  2. This post is awesome! I’ve got super oily skin and will definitely be trying some of these. Have you tried Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation? That stuff is amazing for oily skin. I did a blog post on it a while ago, I just love the stuff x

    1. I second this too. Double wear is a godsend for oily skin and I never need to use a powder with it. Also I blot my face with tissue whenever I nip to the loo, saves money on buying blotting paper! Xx

      1. Yeah same here my skin was so oily too before using double wear. But now I forget how oily it actually is with double wear!! For some mad reason I think that my skin seems to be more oily when I’m paranoid and thinking about it lol? If that even makes sense!! 😂 xx
